FL Wheels (Forged Lite) — Limited Warranty Policy
1. Warranty Scope & Eligibility
This Limited Warranty applies to eligible new wheels manufactured by Forged Lite Wheels (“FL Wheels”) and purchased directly from FL Wheels or through an authorized dealer.
Warranty coverage is available exclusively to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims. All claims are subject to the terms, conditions, exclusions, and procedures outlined in this policy.
2. Limited Coverage Terms
2.1 Structural Integrity — 3-Year Limited Warranty
FL Wheels provides a three (3) year limited warranty from the original date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship affecting the structural integrity of eligible wheels under normal and intended use.
This warranty applies only to structural failures determined to result from a manufacturing defect. Damage resulting from impacts, road hazards, misuse, improper installation, unauthorized modifications, or use outside the wheel’s intended application is excluded.
2.2 Original Finish Protection — 3-Year Limited Warranty
FL Wheels provides a three (3) year limited warranty from the original date of purchase against defects in the manufacturer’s original paint or powder coat finish.
Covered manufacturing defects may include:
- Peeling or delamination.
- Bubbling or blistering.
- Premature discoloration attributable to a manufacturing defect.
- Clear coat failure, where applicable, attributable to a manufacturing defect.
Coverage applies only to the original factory finish and is subject to proper use, care, and maintenance. Damage caused by impacts, curb rash, scratches, chemicals, corrosion, neglect, improper cleaning, or unauthorized refinishing is excluded.
3. Product Inspection & Proper Installation
Customers and installers are responsible for inspecting wheels before installation.
- Inspect all wheels upon delivery for visible defects, shipping damage, or discrepancies.
- Report visible concerns to FL Wheels or the original dealer before mounting tires or installing the wheels.
- Photograph and document any suspected defects or shipping damage.
- Have installation performed by a qualified professional using appropriate procedures and hardware.
- Follow the specified torque requirements and verify proper lug nut or bolt seating, center bore fitment, and clean hub mating surfaces.
- Ensure tire sizing, load ratings, and vehicle fitment comply with applicable vehicle specifications and tire manufacturer recommendations.
Failure to follow proper inspection or installation procedures may affect warranty eligibility when the reported damage or failure results from those deficiencies. A manufacturing defect that could not reasonably have been identified before installation will be evaluated on its merits, subject to applicable law.
4. Requirements for Warranty Qualification
To qualify for warranty consideration, the following conditions must be met:
- The claimant must be the original purchaser of eligible new wheels.
- The wheels must have been purchased directly from FL Wheels or an authorized dealer.
- The claim must fall within the applicable three-year warranty period.
- Original proof of purchase must be provided.
- Photographs and a description of the reported issue must be submitted.
- Serial numbers or other product identification must be provided where applicable.
- The wheels must have been properly installed, used, and maintained.
- The wheels must not have undergone unauthorized modifications, alterations, repairs, or refinishing, subject to applicable law.
All claims are subject to verification and inspection by FL Wheels.
5. Wheel Care & Finish Preservation
Customers are responsible for maintaining their wheels throughout their service life. Proper care helps preserve the original finish and prevent premature deterioration.
FL Wheels recommends:
- Cleaning wheels with suitable, non-corrosive products.
- Avoiding harsh chemicals, acid-based cleaners, and abrasive cleaning materials.
- Allowing wheels to cool before cleaning after driving or heavy braking.
- Regularly removing brake dust, road salt, and other contaminants.
- Following the maintenance instructions provided for the specific wheel finish.
Finish deterioration caused by neglect, chemical exposure, improper cleaning, or failure to follow care instructions is not covered under this warranty.
6. Warranty Exclusions & Disqualifying Conditions
6.1 Impact Damage & Road Hazards
FL Wheels does not provide a separate road hazard warranty. The following are excluded from coverage:
- Potholes, road debris, curbs, impacts, and other road hazards.
- Accidents, collisions, abuse, or impact-related structural damage.
- Curb rash, scratches, chips, dents, and other physical damage.
- Damage caused by improper transportation, handling, or installation.
6.2 Installation, Hardware & Fitment Issues
Damage or failure resulting from the following is not covered:
- Incorrect torque application.
- Improper mounting, demounting, or balancing.
- Incorrect, incompatible, or non-approved mounting hardware.
- Improper tire sizing, tire load requirements, or vehicle fitment.
- Incorrect center bore or mounting configuration.
- Improper tire pressure or operation beyond the wheel’s specified load rating.
6.3 Track, Racing & Competition Applications
Standard Forged Lite wheels are not warranted for track use, racing, or competitive driving. Use of standard wheels in track events, racing, or competition automatically voids applicable warranty coverage for those wheels, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
An exception applies to wheel models specifically designed, manufactured, and designated by FL Wheels for track or competition use, including designated magnesium wheel models.
These designated wheels may be used for their intended track or competition applications, subject to the applicable product specifications, operating limitations, and warranty terms established by FL Wheels.
Track approval must be confirmed by FL Wheels. A wheel is not considered approved for track use solely because it is forged, lightweight, or manufactured from magnesium.
6.4 Improper Use & Operating Conditions
This warranty does not cover damage resulting from:
- Use outside the wheel’s intended application or specified vehicle fitment.
- Exceeding the specified load rating.
- Neglect, improper care, or failure to follow product instructions.
- Improper storage or handling.
- Operating conditions that cause damage unrelated to a manufacturing defect.
6.5 Chemical Exposure, Corrosion & Maintenance
Damage or deterioration caused by the following is excluded:
- Harsh chemicals, acid-based cleaners, or unapproved cleaning products.
- Washing wheels while excessively hot.
- Corrosion or oxidation resulting from environmental exposure, road salt, chemicals, or neglect.
- Abrasive cleaning, improper maintenance, or failure to follow finish-care instructions.
6.6 Unauthorized Alterations, Repairs & Refinishing
Any wheel altered, modified, refinished, repaired, or otherwise changed without prior written authorization from FL Wheels is subject to automatic voiding of all applicable warranty coverage for the affected wheel, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Unauthorized work includes, but is not limited to:
- Disassembly or reconstruction.
- Cutting, drilling, redrilling, machining, or milling modifications.
- Changes to bolt patterns, offsets, center bores, mounting surfaces, or wheel dimensions.
- Welding, bending, straightening, or structural repairs.
- Application of heat or processes that may alter the wheel’s structural properties.
- Repainting, powder coating, polishing, chemical stripping, or other refinishing or recoating.
- Any other change to the wheel’s original structure, dimensions, design, or finish.
This restriction applies to work performed by third-party repair facilities, refinishing companies, installers, dealers, or other service providers. Prior written authorization must be obtained from FL Wheels before any work begins.
Unauthorized modifications or repairs may compromise structural integrity and create unsafe conditions, including wheel failure, property damage, serious injury, or death. FL Wheels disclaims responsibility for damage resulting from unauthorized work to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in this section limits warranty rights that applicable law requires FL Wheels to honor.
6.7 Previously Owned & Secondhand Wheels
This manufacturer’s Limited Warranty applies exclusively to eligible new wheels purchased by the original purchaser. Used, pre-owned, and secondhand wheels are not eligible for coverage under this warranty.
This exclusion applies to wheels acquired through private sellers, resale marketplaces, auctions, or other secondhand sources, regardless of their condition, mileage, age, original purchase date, or remaining warranty period.
Warranty coverage is non-transferable and does not pass to any subsequent owner. This provision does not eliminate any separate rights or obligations that may apply under applicable law.
7. Submitting a Warranty Claim
Warranty claims must be submitted to FL Wheels or the authorized dealer from which the wheels were originally purchased, as directed by FL Wheels.
The following documentation may be required:
- Original proof of purchase.
- Wheel model, size, finish, and identifying information.
- Serial number or other product identification, where applicable.
- Clear photographs of the reported issue.
- A written description of the issue and the circumstances under which it occurred.
- Additional information reasonably required to evaluate the claim.
A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number must be obtained from FL Wheels before returning any wheel for inspection. Unauthorized returns may be refused.
Customers must follow return instructions and package wheels appropriately to prevent additional damage during shipping. Return shipping arrangements and costs will be communicated during the claim process, subject to applicable law.
8. Technical Inspection & Claim Determination
Upon receipt of a returned wheel, where required, FL Wheels will inspect the product and evaluate the reported condition.
The inspection may determine whether the condition resulted from:
- A manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship.
- Road hazards, impacts, or other external damage.
- Improper installation, fitment, maintenance, or use.
- Unauthorized modifications, alterations, or repairs.
- Normal wear, cosmetic damage, or other excluded conditions.
FL Wheels will communicate its determination to the claimant or original dealer. Submission of a claim or return of a wheel does not guarantee approval.
9. Available Remedies & Warranty Limitations
For an approved claim, FL Wheels may, subject to applicable law and at its discretion:
- Repair the affected wheel.
- Replace the affected wheel with the same model and finish, if available.
- Provide a comparable replacement or another appropriate remedy if the original product is unavailable.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly agreed to in writing, this warranty does not cover shipping, tire removal, remounting, balancing, installation, reinstallation, labor, vehicle rental, transportation, vehicle downtime, loss of use, or incidental and consequential expenses to the extent legally excludable.
Any repair or replacement does not restart or extend the original warranty period unless required by applicable law or agreed to in writing.
10. Legal Disclosures & Consumer Rights
This document describes the Limited Warranty provided by FL Wheels for eligible products. Any exclusion or limitation of implied warranties applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, restricted, or modified.
This warranty provides specific legal rights, and purchasers may have additional rights depending on their jurisdiction.
